Craziness!

It seems that the name of this blog was very appropriate. According to Webster's, hullaballoo means: great noise or excitement; uproar. Well, that is where we are this week. You know that saying, "Take your crazy somewhere else, we have enough of our own"? We definitely have enough crazy around our house this week to last me a long time. I knew getting a puppy was going to rock our world, but I didn't know that it would be a 10 on the Richter scale!

Callie is super sweet, and doing well. She sleeps through the night in her crate already, and is being housetrained. I can't even get frustrated with her because she is just too cute. We are going to start obedience classes in May, so that will help with my sanity I think. Aubrey just can't get enough of her and won't go to sleep for naps or nighttime without kissing and hugging her. He loves to take her outside and give her treats too. I think Callie will be Aubrey's lifelong friend.

In other news, Mallory is waving hello and goodbye, jabbering like crazy and dropping things over and over just to get us to pick them up (which we do). She is teething, and right now is holding the phone up to her ear. I don't know where she gets that from. Tomorrow I have my last MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers) meeting for the year. I am sad because I have loved it this year, but excited because next year I am going to be the Creative Activities leader. MOPS has been such a great thing for me this year. D. is getting really busy at work, but that is a good thing I keep reminding myself! Tomorrow Aubrey is going on a field trip to the recycling center. So, in a nutshell, it's crazy around here!

Just pray for me and our family, that our bathrooms will get cleaned again, and we will eat homemade food sometime soon.

Our new addition!

I would like to introduce you to the new addition to our family, Callie! She is an English Springer Spaniel puppy. We got her last night. We have been contemplating getting a dog for about 2 years now, and finally took the plunge. She is the sweetest little thing. She was such a good rider in the car on the way home, no crying at all. She just snuggled into D. and rested. Aubrey is over the moon about her. He didn't want to go to bed last night. And Mallory just giggles at her.

We bought her from a family who lived on a good bit of acreage and had other animals, so Aubrey had a blast because he got to pet a horse and a cat while we were there. I think he was just as excited about petting the horse as he was about getting a puppy. We named her Callie because we were trying to pick a girl name and the first road we turned on after leaving her previous home was called Callie Still. D. said, "What about Callie?" We all liked it and it just kind of stuck. Aubrey is still asking, "What is her name again?" I think he takes after his daddy in the name remembrance category!

She slept really well last night and just loves to be held and petted. So, please come over and meet our new bundle of love!

Let's Go Jackets!

Today is the Georgia Tech Spring Game. Although we didn't go, I thought we would celebrate by posting a picture of our future Jacket. Aubrey is already a die-hard Yellow Jacket fan. He wears his jersey whenever he can (he has it on today), and points out Georgia stickers on cars and says,"Look, Daddy, yuck!" The other day, he got all of his GaTech gear out and put it on. He was so cute I had to take a picture. Here he is and here's to a better fall this year for the Jackets!

Thanks Jill!

I'm sure you have all noticed the changes in the blog. I love them! My good friend Jill came over yesterday with her little guy Jameson. The boys played while we worked on changing the blog. Jill is really good with digital stuff, and I am very thankful for her help! Check out her blog too. It's a good one. It's here Here is a pic of Aubrey and Jameson helping us make pizza for our lunch. They got into it so much I had to open an extra bag of cheese! It was a fun day being with friends. And I didn't leave the house once yesterday! I love days like that.

New layouts!

Here are a couple of layouts I recently completed. The one of Aubrey is from when we went to the interactive children's museum. Mallory and I were kind of underwhelmed, but Aubrey had a blast. They had all kinds of things that little boys love. His imagination was in overdrive. The one of Mallory is from a couple of months ago when we went to church. I got her outfit from my Chez Ami party. When I got to church another little girl in the nursery had the same outfit on. They were so cute. We went to Sunday School and I told my friend Julie it was too bad that Emily didn't wear her outfit because they would all match. She said, "She did!" Of course we couldn't let that go by without a couple of pictures, because unknowingly we dressed them alike! So, I thought that answered the question, "What's black and white and red all over?" Kind of goofy I know, but when I was a little girl I loved making up silly answers to that question.

Happy Birthday Beth!
Today is my sister Beth's birthday! I won't tell how old she is, but she is my older sister. That's all I have to say about that! Anyway, I love her bunches and wanted to tell you all about her special day! Beth is the one on the middle. It's an absolutely horrible picture of me since I was 4 weeks postpartum, but this post isn't about me so that's ok!
Love you Beth!

Pictures!

Ok, those of you who have already ventured over here told me that you would like pictures, pictures and more pictures. I will try to fulfill your wishes as much as possible. I thought I would post a couple of pics from the park, where both Aubrey and Mallory had such a good time. (Note, Aubrey's hat - it's his current favorite. I'm a little concerned about his fashion sense.) I'm also posting an Easter picture of all of us. It's in front of the cross at church, which is a wonderful tradition at our church. The church family brings fresh flowers Easter morning which are place on the cross. After the service we all go out and have a prayer, then sing Because He Lives. I love it. Mallory looks like she has a flower wreath on, but it's just her bow and the flowers behind us. She loves being outside, as you can probably tell from the pictures. She loves going out to get the mail with me. It's so cute how she starts giggling when we walk out of the house. Her brother is the same way. I don't know where they get it from!

First Post!

So, I'm starting this blog - not because I think I have so much to say, but because I thought some of you who are not nearby might like to keep up with our family somehow instead of waiting on me to send you pictures! I hope that this will be a fun way to do that. I'll try to keep it updated regularly, but you know me. It may not quite happen the way I plan. I hope to see you here often! Please comment and let me know what you think! Love to you all.
